One of the great things about having a custom guitar built for you by Don Sharp is that he wants to keep you in the loop on everything. His main goal is to make sure that you're happy with the guitar down to the very last detail.
Here's the progress of a guitar built for Theo Tigno. Even before the wood was selected, Don listened to different songs to get a feel for what type of guitar would best suit Theo. He recommended a Claro Walnut / Sitka Spruce initially, but they later agreed to change the top to an Engelmann Spruce top.
Throughout the build process, Don was diligent in sending photos and update emails. Don even listened to a CD of Theo's band, The Polk Street Band, while building the guitar.
